Shefali Banerji is a poet-performer-researcher from India, based in Austria. Raised in a small town at the foothills of the Himalayas, Shefali received their BA and MA degrees in Kolkata, followed by, among other things, a year-long research stint in Dublin, Ireland. They are currently a PhD candidate at the University of Vienna, exploring the intersections of poetry performance and theatre in the “Poetry Off the Page” project. Shefali’s poetry can be found in publications such as MEARI, Poetry Wales, and The Bombay Review. They have performed their work at the National Poetry Festival Kolkata, the Vienna Literature Festival, Kultursommer Wien, and elsewhere.
